Description:
Using the tip of a scanning probe microscope researchers are able to push nanoparticles into more complex assemblies. They can even push one nanoparticle onto another, making small 3D structures such as this pyramid-like structure. It was formed by pushing a 30 nm nanoparticle up between two others. The nanoparticle is now elevated about 20 nm sitting on top of the others
